This 70’s era home was completely remodeled in 2001. Quartzite and limestone are used extensively both in the interior and exterior. The lower floor is ADA accessible with wide entryways and flush thresholds.

Water spills from drilled basalt columns into the limestone pool at the front entrance. A Quartzite wall defines the walkway to the front door. Cutouts in the wall allow for glimpses of the Monterey Bay. Gray stained cedar siding compliments the natural stone surfaces.
Power poles and lines that bounded the property on two sides were placed underground to open up the Monterey Bay views. Turfblock was used in the lawn area (lower right) to satisfy local parking requirements.

Sculptural stainless steel in the entry area defines the outdoor shower space as viewed from the street.
Guest Bath
Tumbled marble surfaces are a warm contrast to the sleek glass walk-in shower.

Living Room
The contemporary interior gives itself over to fabulous views. Custom crafted bronze anodized trim is recessed around all the doors and windows.
Master Bath
Limestone tiles cover walls and floor. A slab of honed limestone creates the vanity counter top. Contemporary maple cabinetry and glass shower wall keep the space open.

Railing Views
A custom-fabricated, stainless-steel railing system is warmed by a teak rail cap.

Kitchen View
Quartzite walls in the kitchen and hallway echo each other. Maple cabinetry and granite counter top are a perfect fit with stainless appliances in this minimalist kitchen.
