Remodeler Wins Gold Award

Talmadge Construction won a Gold Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry's Silicon Valley Chapter for a complete renovation of a Rio del Mar beach house.

The 40-plus-year-old vacation home was overhauled for energy efficiency with new electrical, plumbing, windows, interior and exterior finishes and weatherizing. The remodel was designed by architect Danielle Grenier and executed by a construction team headed by project manager Richard Pearce.

The project was featured on the cover of the 2008 Fall/Winter issue of Coastal Home and Garden Magazine.

Adele Talmadge of Talmadge Construction said the home was a favorite on the Open Architecture Tour in May that benefits Habitat for Humanity.
