Certified Green Building Experts
Serving Santa Cruz County
There are 3 components to Green Building:
- Conserving natural resources
- Increasing energy and efficiency
- Improving indoor air quality
At Talmadge Construction, we help you evaluate how to make your project as “green” as it can be.
Jeff Talmadge is a Certified Green Building Professional through NARI (National Association of Remodeling Industry). Architect Danielle Grenier, Production Manager John Anderson, and Project Manager Richard Pearce are Certified Green Building Professionals through Build It Green.
Talmadge Construction’s offices are powered by photovoltaic panels that were installed in 2004. Over the next 30 years, we will eliminate about 600,000 pounds of the primary greenhouse gas CO2 and save over 60 million cubic feet of natural gas that would be consumed by a gas fire power plant to produce the same amount of electricity.
Remodeling provides an opportunity to explore the use of green building practices. While it’s not always feasible to use every suggestion, even a few changes can make a difference.
