My name is Erin Loftin, I am a Certified Interior Designer for Talmadge Construction in Aptos.

As a designer I am passionate about helping people re-define the living space of their homes. Sometimes, the solutions are straightforward, providing an update to the existing layout. However, my job gets exciting when the homeowner wants to find new and creative ways to redefine their space and layout.

I received my degree in Construction Management from Chico State, studying Architecture, Interior Design, and Business along the way. Upon graduating, I became a Certified Interior Designer, a LEED Accredited Professional, and most recently a Certified Green Building Professional. I am most recently certified as a Universal Design certified professional.

After working for multiple general contractors and designers in the bay area, I have returned to my hometown of Santa Cruz and found my home in Design/Build. The all-in-one service (designer working directly with the contractor) creates exactness in the project that everyone appreciates and benefits from.

My favorite room to design is the Kitchen because it serves the heart of the home and has a big impact on lifestyle, from how often you entertain to your daily morning routine. I also have extensive experience and interest in whole-home remodeling, dual purpose dwellings (in-law or generational living) and refreshing exteriors.
