Even before the unprecedented challenge of a global pandemic, job site safety has always been a top concern to everyone at Talmadge Construction. We adhere to the Santa Cruz County guidelines, and we know that even with relaxed restrictions, the coronavirus will still pose a threat to the community. That’s why our crews follow these guidelines:
For occupied homes:
- Install a barrier between work pathways and the homeowners
- Install a negative air system (window fan)
- Use the BuildClean dust control system (see photo below)
- Cover heat vents and air return system
- Post hand sanitizers at entry with instructions to anyone entering to use
- Post antiseptic wipes on site with instructions to use on doorknobs and light switches
- Stock gloves and masks on each job
- Provide hand-washing stations at jobsites
- Stagger trades to help maintain social distancing
For our crews and office staff:
- Continue to practice social distancing whenever possible
- Use sanitizer before and after meetings
- Use virtual meetings when possible
- Do not shake hands with anyone
- Stay home if we feel sick or if anyone in our immediate family is sick with suspected virus symptoms
- Do a temperature check before entering the office or job site
We continue to update these rules based on the latest information from county, state, and federal agencies. You can rest assured that when Talmadge crews are meeting with you or working at your home, we will ensure that both our team members and you are protected.
