When we started working with Marilou and Tom Moschetti on an engineering-focused construction project, we didn’t know that it would be the start of a series of home design projects for this Aptos couple, who have become like family. Perched on a secluded piece of land in the Aptos Hills, the Moschetti’s house was in need of some updating. First up, Talmadge completed a project to stabilize the roof with huge solid beams, to make the house strong enough to last for years.
Next, Tom and Marilou wanted to update their kitchen to open it up, bring in the light, and create a contemporary and functional workspace. Talmadge Construction completely reimagined the kitchen, with a remodel that includes beautifully textured granite, all-new appliances, and beautiful lighting throughout.
Once the kitchen project was complete, the Moschettis called upon Talmadge to re-do their bathrooms. Talmadge helped Tom and Marilou select tiles and finishes, designed storage solutions, and did the complete bathroom remodels.
The latest (and fifth!) project that Marilou and Tom worked on with Talmadge was a solution to keep the deer at bay. Tom wanted a fence that would protect their gardens from four-legged intruders, but not cut off the house from its beautiful forest and hillside views. Talmadge designed a beautiful wood and steel cable fence that keeps out the deer but doesn’t obstruct Marilou and Tom’s views from their home.
We are so thrilled that Tom and Marilou continue to trust the design and completion of their home renovations to Talmadge Construction, and look forward to their next project!
