Passive House Construction
This passive house represents a major step forward for green construction in Santa Cruz County. Constructed to be super insulated and nearly air tight, passive houses represent the gold standard in green construction. Since the home is very energy efficient, it does not need an “active” HVAC system to heat the home, and it instead relies on “passive” energy to keep the home warm. Our architect and construction crew worked together to build this modern prairie style home nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains. The clients wanted a home that would be comfortable for the rest of their lives, so the home was designed as a single level home, complete with a large pool deck that sits 16 feet in the air. See more details and images of the home in the video.
Modern Kitchen Remodel
We helped transform the kitchen in this older home into a comfortable and modern space. Complete with large quartz countertops and simple flat panel cabinets, this kitchen takes advantage of clean, simple materials to help make the space feel expansive and larger. The lighter colors of the countertops and the wood grain all help lighten the space and accentuate the natural lighting from the windows. The final look of this kitchen is a sleek and modern kitchen that allows the homeowners to entertain and cook comfortably in their home.
